Hello all! Welcome to the second edition of the Chelsea and Somerville newsletter. There are a lot of good options for summer positions as well as more part time positions at Assembly Row and near Chelsea High School. If you want to work on a resume to apply to these jobs, go ahead and make an appointment with me!

Some things to know before reading:

• A rolling deadline means that they are accepting applications until the position has been filled

• To access the jobs, click on the link in the What portion of the job description

• The jobs won’t be separated by school, but the location will be included so you can figure out how far it is from you!

• For seniors, there are more job options that would be great for you after graduation to make some money during the summer as well as during your post graduation life.

• All jobs are part time, if they are not part time, I will make a note of the hour requirements. Part time generally means 10-20 hours a week

• If you are 18, you can apply to any of the jobs listed here

• You’ll need a resume to apply to most of these jobs, if you don’t have a resume, make an appointment with me and we can make one!

14 and up:

Note: The summer programs are actively trying to hire 14 year olds. The year long positions can hire 14 year olds, but they don’t always because of the legal restrictions on work for 14 year olds. The summer programs are a good opportunity to get work experience!

La Colaborativa Stem Internship: Summer

What: This is a STEM focused internship that runs from July 1st – August 9th. It’s focused on bettering the Chelsea community using a lens of Sustainability and Social Justice

Ground Works, Green Team: Summer

What: Ground Works has 24 open positions for students who are interested in engaging in environmental activism, community building, and green space advocacy. It runs from July 8th to August 16th,Tuesday – Friday, 9am-2pm.

Mental Health Ambassador Program: Summer

What: As a Mental Health Ambassador, you will be given training and education on how to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and how to raise awareness of common mental health issues. You will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm to 3 pm in Malden. The program runs from July 9th to August 15th.
