Hello all! It’s the first newsletter of the summer! There are lots of part time jobs available for 16 year olds, and some for 14 year olds as well. For those of you who have recently graduated, there are some good full time options in manufacturing as well as part time options for those who want to work during university. There are several options more in the downtown Boston area for those students who live closer to there! I’m also available to meet if you want to talk about any of these jobs, just schedule an appointment using the link at the bottom. I’ll keep sending this out over the summer, keep an eye out for internship applications as they start to open up closer to the end of summer!

Some things to know before reading:

• A rolling deadline means that they are accepting applications until the position is filled

• To access the jobs, click on the link in the What portion of the job description

• For seniors, the 18 and up job options would be great for you after graduation to make some money during the summer as well as during your post graduation life.

• All jobs are part time, if they are not part time, I will make a note of the hour requirements. Part time generally means 10-20 hours a week.

  • When filling out your availability, you should put the range of hours you could work 4 hour shifts. So if you put 8 am - 10 pm, you won’t work the whole time, just for a four hour shift somewhere in that range!

• If you are 18, you can apply to any of the jobs listed here.

• You’ll need a resume to apply to most of these jobs, if you don’t have a resume, make an appointment with me and we can make one!

Note: The summer programs are actively trying to hire 14 year olds. The year long positions can hire 14 year olds, but they don’t always because of the legal restrictions on work for 14 year olds. The summer programs are a good opportunity to get work experience!

SIM Intern: Summer

What: You have to be a resident of the actual city of Boston, which doesn’t apply to many of you all, but I’m including it in case. It’d be both online and in person and you’d be working with the community and developing workforce readiness skills. The organization works specifically with immigrant communities. It runs from July 26th to August 23rd.
