Message to the MassHire Metro North Community regarding COVID-19 March 17, 2019
Dear MassHire Metro North Community:
Due to the recent developments of COVID19, the MassHire Metro North Career Centers and Workforce Board are temporarily suspending face-to-face services and meetings at our Cambridge, Woburn, and Chelsea centers to safeguard the well-being of our communities and to slow the contagion of COVID-19.
All Career Center and Workforce Board staff will be working remotely.
We are currently expanding our distance-learning, coaching and employment services in order to best serve our clients and employers. Staff will be contacting those with appointments to reschedule them to instead meet by phone. Those scheduled for workshops will have their registrations cancelled.
RESEA seminars and appointments have been postponed and Unemployment benefits will not be impacted at least through March 27th. For updated information regarding RESEA requirements information will be available on this webpage https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-guidance-and-directives
We are monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely and will resume normal operations once it is deemed safe to do so.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for any of your workforce needs. During these difficult times we remain committed to providing continued services. Any announcement dealing with the operation of the career center and/or guidance on services that impacts the public will be posted on our main webpages:
