MassHire Metro North Workforce Board Awarded $765K in City of Somerville ARPA Funds to Drive NewBiz Somerville Initiatives
The MassHire Metro North Workforce Board, in partnership with Somerville Community Corporation (SCC), The Welcome Project, Union Square Main Streets, and East Somerville Main Streets, is proud to share that we have been granted a total of $765K from the City of Somerville's American Rescue Plan Act funding! This funding will be dedicated to uplifting new immigrant entrepreneurs in Somerville through skill-based training programs, while also offering specialized courses to assist low- and moderate-income employees of established small businesses in the area. We're committed to fostering growth and opportunity within our community and look forward to the positive impact this initiative will create!
