We are now accepting applications for the 2024 Heavy Metal Summer Experience program, which will take place Monday, June 24th to Friday, June 28th. Applications are due by Friday, March 29th.
Always with a focus on safety, students gain exposure to all aspects of construction from BIM through fabrication and installation. Taught by working craft professionals who are ready to share their career paths and advice. Through exposure to sheet metal, piping and plumbing trades, HMSE students explore the trades and become part of a team that builds community.
A few things to note:
This program is open to any high school student who is a current freshman or older.
The program will run each day from about 8 AM to 3 PM, Monday, June 24th to Friday, June 28th.
Breakfast, lunch, voucher for work boots, and some transportation assistance is provided (we run a shuttle from a few major transportation hubs to our shop in the Seaport).
All students who complete the 5 day program will receive a $500 stipend!
There are only 14 available spots in the program. All students who apply will have a Zoom interview to determine whether or not you are accepted. This is also a chance for you to ask us questions and decide if its the right fit for you.
