Dear Partners and Supporters,
Happy fall! If I have not met you yet, my name is Kate and I’m the new STEM Programs Manager here at MassHire Metro North Workforce Board. I joined the Metro North team about a month and a half ago, just in time to take part in Mass STEM Week 2022!
We had a very successful Mass STEM Week this year, with 18 in-person and virtual programs, three industry tour field trips, and events at multiple partner schools. 124 students were engaged through industry tours alone—read on to hear some of their feedback!
Please enjoy the roundup of this year’s STEM Week highlights below! If you are interested in learning about opportunities to be involved in STEM outreach or next year’s STEM Week, you can visit the Metro North STEM Network website or reach out to me directly.
Thank you for your continued support!
Kate Armstrong, STEM Programs Manager

Robotics students from Revere High School took a field trip to MassRobotics to learn about the robotics industry and where the work they’re doing in high school can lead down the line.
Students discussed the definition of ‘robot,’ tested out a robotic arm, and learned about different technologies used to manufacture robots. After the trip, students asked if they could go again next year!
