$321,578 Community Development Block Grant awarded to the Town of Burlington and the Town of Bedford for Life Science and Healthcare Training

Cambridge, MASSACHUSETTS — We are excited to announce that the Town of Burlington and the Town of Bedford received a $321,578 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to create a dedicated job training program for healthcare and life sciences. In partnership with MassHire Metro North Workforce Board, the program will offer subsidized education and training for low to moderate income residents of Burlington and Bedford who want to take existing courses to prepare for new careers in healthcare and life sciences. The proposed program serves to expand our regional workforce and strengthen the state’s healthcare and life science cluster.

As the program is rolled out, the communities will reach out to residents on program details and application process.
