On September 14, Penny Hasseli, Kelly Washburn, and Julie Whitmore presented labor market trends to approximately 40 participants in the Harvard Ed Portal’s Monday Job Seekers Connection. The Harvard Ed Portal connects Harvard University, Allston-Brighton, and the broader community through free, accessible programs in workforce and economic development, health and wellness, and community building. The Monday Job Seekers Connection brings job seekers together to learn from and encourage one another while hearing job-search strategies and techniques from workforce development professionals and organizations. During the session, Penny, Kelly, and Julie shared current employment trends, practical guidance for exploring career options, and information about MassHire Career Center resources.
