In July, Massachusetts Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Lauren Jones visited Revere City Hall and Malden City Hall to meet with YouthWorks participants and hear about what they are learning on the job. She was joined by both Mayor Gary Christenson and Mayor Patrick Keefe Jr., MNWB and Commonwealth Corporation staff and leadership, and local partners who help bring these opportunities to young people in Revere and Malden. The visit highlighted the impact of youth employment programs in providing valuable workplace experience while strengthening the local communities.

Administered by Commonwealth Corporation on behalf of The Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD), YouthWorks is a state-funded youth employment program that connects young people with paid work experiences, career-readiness training, mentorship, and opportunities to build essential workplace skills.
