“When healthcare is inaccessible and unaffordable, [people] can’t get to it. When they can’t get to it, they get sicker. When they get sicker, it affects their jobs. When their jobs are affected, that not only affects them because they have sick days or they lose their job because they’re sick, but also that business, that entity, loses them. That’s a very connected effect to our economy. Even though it is not exactly direct, it is absolutely a pressure and factor on it,” said Senator Friedman.
